Veneers are custom made “contact-lens thin” porcelain coverings which can be bonded to teeth. There are many benefits to choosing veneers, including a relatively fast, anxiety-free process. The Process
- Visit our office for a complimentary consultation. During your first appointment, we will explain the veneer process and review the costs with you. That way, if you have any questions or concerns, we can address them at this stage.
- Next, we take impressions of your teeth. The impressions will then be used to create the diagnostic wax-up, which is used to fabricate your temporaries. This is an easy process and painless, too!
- We will start the (minimal prep) porcelain veneers phaseso that we can create the provisional veneer(s). The diagnostic wax-up is also used in this phase as well. Once this is finished, you will be fitted for a set of natural-looking temporaries. Patients will have the temporaries in place for approximately three weeks while the permanent veneers are custom made in the laboratory.
- Your final office visit consists of the cosmetic dentist permanently placing your veneers on the front surface of your teeth. We use a safe, durable cement to do so. Once we ensure proper fit and acceptable aesthetic attributes, you will be ready to show your brand new smile to the world!
Sedation Dentistry
While the entire process is straightforward, easy and pain free, we understand that some still experience anxiety at the dentist. For patients who are overly anxious, we offer sedation dentistry. With sedation, you can completely relax throughout your entire appointment. We offer different forms of sedation, including:
- Nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas)
- Oral conscious sedation
